In 1973, Omar Mariman founded a modest business in Steckenhe called HF Mariman, where his partner Maria also worked. Due to the continuous expansion in seed and grain production, especially pigeon feed, the business quickly became too small. We found and purchased a large commercial property in Hamme. Soon after, his son Hardy joined the company, and his wife Magda took over management with Omar. After some time, the company name was changed from HF Mariman to Paloma nv. For fifteen years, we worked together in a company that was gaining increasing recognition and expanding its range of pigeon feed products. As a result, the workspace in Hamme became too small. On Doornijkstraat in Waasmunster, we finally found the right building for our ever-growing business. Meanwhile, grandson Jürgen was being trained by Omar and his mother Magda to become the full successor to Paloma nv. Today, Jürgen and his partner Lisbeth run the family business and are proving to be skilled and passionate managers whose influence extends far beyond the country's borders.
