NEKTON-R Pet Feed Supplement for Color Intensification of Red Areas in Feathers NEKTON-R is a pet food supplement specially developed to intensify the color of red areas in feathers. NEKTON-R prevents feather colors from fading and can help support the bird's health in a natural way during the molting period. NEKTON-R contains yeast cell walls and purified brewer's yeast and combines the advantages of the prebiotic and immunomodulatory effects of yeast cell walls with the valuable nutrients of brewer's yeast. On the one hand, brewer's yeast is a high-quality source of protein, and on the other hand, it is a valuable supplier of numerous nutrients and active substances. The nutrients contained in brewer's yeast have a positive effect on the bird's organism and are important components of new feathers, the need for which increases during molting. Brewer's yeast can strengthen the bird's immune system and can help support the intestinal microbiota. In addition to brewer's yeast, NEKTON-R contains brewer's yeast cell walls, which consist of mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) and beta-glucans. These can reduce the number of harmful bacteria in the bird's gut and increase the number of beneficial bacteria. The need for individual amino acids is particularly high during moulting. An insufficient supply of amino acids can lead to delayed moulting as well as feather abnormalities (e.g., crooked or overly soft feathers). NEKTON-R contains 18 amino acids, which can support the formation of new feathers during the arduous moulting period. The daily diet must contain sufficient vitamins, minerals, and trace elements for an efficient metabolism; therefore, a combination of NEKTON-R with NEKTON-Biotin or NEKTON-S is recommended. The colorant used is identical to the natural substance and is therefore physiologically safe. It is also used in the food industry to color food products. Carotenoids are vital for colorful feathers. NEKTON-R is administered in the drinking water or soft feed from the beginning of moulting/breeding until the end of moulting or once the bird's color has fully recovered. This depends on the desired intensity of coloration. 1 g (one level measuring spoon) is sufficient for 10 young birds (canaries) in 250 ml of drinking water or in 100 g of soft food. Apply only during moulting. Due to the higher vitamin D and trace element content of this supplement compared to complete feed, it can only be added to 2.5% of the bird's daily ration. NEKTON-B-Komplex corrects deficiencies, has a positive effect on nervous tissue, and improves the regulation of protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism. A deficiency of essential B vitamins manifests itself in many health disorders, such as neurological disorders characterized by increased irritability, uncoordinated movement, or convulsions. Abnormal skin changes and growth disorders can also indicate a vitamin B deficiency. Birds' need for vitamin B increases, for example, when animals are under stress or illness, and also when animals have to be treated with antibiotics or sulfonamides. NEKTON-B-Komplex is soluble in cold water and can be easily administered via drinking water or soft food. It is ideally formulated with NEKTON-S. Further information NEKTON-B-Komplex is a high-quality, specific vitamin complex containing many of the B-complex vitamins. These substances, essential for the body and maintaining health, are found partly in plant feed and partly in animal feed. They are often included in compound feeds in insufficient quantities and must therefore be given to birds as an additional supplement. The vitamins contained in NEKTON-B-Komplex are of paramount importance in the body's physiological processes and have diverse effects. Thus, they occupy a key position in the overall metabolism, i.e., they are significantly involved in the regulation of protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism. NEKTON-Biotin is a vitamin complex for feather formation for all birds. NEKTON-Biotin supports the smooth molting process and feather regeneration. NEKTON-Biotin contains all essential vitamins, amino acids, minerals, trace elements, and 200,000 µg of biotin/kg. NEKTON-Biotin gives birds soft, shiny feathers. The majority of feather damage occurring in bird breeding can be attributed exclusively to malnutrition. Since feathers are composed of a protein-rich substance, a particularly protein-rich diet is essential for the development of a pure plumage. The daily diet must contain sufficient vitamins, minerals, and trace elements for the metabolism. The majority of animal losses occurring during the molting period are due to insufficient or unbalanced protein intake and/or an insufficient supply of vitamins and minerals. The unfavorable amino acid ratio in most plant feeds has been clearly considered and balanced in the composition of NEKTON-Biotin. No other vitamin complex should be given while using NEKTON-Biotin. NEKTON-Biotin is soluble in cold water and can be easily administered via drinking water or soft feed. Further information: The protein ingested with the feed is broken down in the bird's digestive tract into individual protein bases (amino acids) and thus builds up the naturally occurring protein bases needed for feather development. Feather growth during nesting and feather regeneration in molting birds are very complex processes and are associated with particularly high stress on the entire animal's body. In cases of severe feather damage, a double or even triple dose of NEKTON-Biotin can be given initially, until the first signs of feather regeneration appear.
